Our Story

The Moree Services Club has been a part of the local community since 1947. We started out in the Council Chambers building on the corner of Frome and Heber Street—where the Moree TAFE stands today—before moving to our current home on Albert Street in 1968.

Today, we are proud to have a growing community of over 5,000 members. Our Board of Directors is always looking for ways to improve the Club, ensuring we provide a modern and welcoming space for everyone. Recent years have seen some great updates, including a fresh look and the addition of our Coffee Bar in 2020, followed by the unveiling of our newly renovated undercover bowling green in 2023.

Life at the Club

There is always something happening at the Services Club. Our members get involved in a huge variety of sports, from bowls and touch football to fishing and darts. We also host weekly meat and produce raffles, members’ draws, and live entertainment to keep the atmosphere jumping.

Honouring Our History

We take great pride in our heritage. Located at the Club entrance are two metal plaques dedicated to those who served in the South African War (1899–1902).

• The first plaque features crossed bayonets set within the Southern Cross.

• The second plaque commemorates the names and ranks of those who served.

These South Africa Memorial Plaques were generously provided by Graham Wilson in 2019 and stand as a lasting tribute to their service.
